This project is one that will always stay close to my heart. It has been one of the most inspiring and challenging ones. Since the beginning we had a very clear vision on what we wanted to achieve: a close connection to the ocean and a small jungle. Both elements, completely missing from the original house. This has been by far the most dramatic transformation we have done. A two year process that culminated in exactly what we wanted: A delicate balance of the new tropical world with a sprinkle of Moroccan inspiration. We mixed Costa Rican traditional Sarchi wood crafts shown mostly in the credenzas with modern design. The zellige tiles in the terrace bring the Middle Eastern touch of calmness and brightness in the mist of the tropical jungle. Natural stones with local light woods reflect the context colors, and the dramatic contrast of patters used in fabrics, colors and patterns speak about the owners, which come from very opposite backgrounds but together make wonders.
